In 2002, Wendy Goodwin married the love of her life, received a Master’s Degree in Classical Violin Performance and founded Effesenden Music. It was a busy year! The nucleus of the company was and still is to provide customized live wedding music of exceptional quality, tailored to the individual tastes of Effesenden’s clients. In addition to hours of dedication to the business, Wendy has distinguished herself as a versatile and creative presence in the Pacific Northwest and beyond through unique violin stylings joining classical, jazz and Americana. With stints in NYC and Nashville, Wendy has established herself as a popular session player and guest performer with artists ranging from Jeff Johnson and Michael Allen Harrison to Michelle Tumes and Miss America 2002 Katie Harman. An avid outdoorswoman, Wendy relishes remote backcountry trekking, such as in Patagonia and the High Sierras, and she lives in Portland, Oregon with her husband, Andy, and daughter, Vienna.
