Elaine Romanelli's songwriting melds intimate storytelling, catchy choruses, and a hint of Celtic lilt.
On stage she charms with sass, sincerity and sensuality. Her clear, flexible voice is emotional and direct, bringing to mind Sarah McLachlan and Alison Krauss.
New York City music blog Lucid Culture hails her as a ’tremendous singer’, and raves about her new album Real Deal, calling it “vivid, aphoristic, often metaphorically charged”.
Elaine has also appeared on national TV as a fan favorite on the TLC hit 'What Not to Wear', and was part of the critically acclaimed off-Broadway stage production of Brundibar (Tony Kushner, Maurice Sendak).
Elaine was raised in suburban Philadelphia, PA, and Manhattan, KS. She moved to NYC from San Francisco in August of 2006.
