As a bassist, guitarist and vocalist for critically acclaimed bands Big Heavy Stuff and The Apartments, Eliot Fish has toured Australia with artists such as Radiohead and Powderfinger, and shared the stage with the Stone Roses, Dinosaur Jnr and Neil Finn.
As a member of Big Heavy Stuff, Eliot released three albums ("Maximum Sincere", "Size of the Ocean", "Dear Friends and Enemies") and one EP ("Covered in Bruises"); featured in the Triple J Hottest 100 with the song "Hibernate"; and received an ARIA nomination in 2001 for the album "Size of the Ocean".
In recent years Eliot has performed in The Apartments (bass and vocals on the album "A Life Full of Farewells"), Todd Sparrow (contributing five of his songs to the album "Modern Western") and played live with Sydney-based Centipede. His very first band, the Templebears, released two EPs in the early 90s, These Days (on 12" vinyl) and Wired (CD).
Eliot's six-track EP "Trick of Light" is his first solo project. Recorded in Brehemont, France, and mixed in Australia, Trick of Light is a melancholy journey through darkness and light, with songs that grow, blossom and bloom with every listen. Eliot lives, writes and records in Sydney, Australia.
