Elisa Fisher, is a singer/songwriter/guitarist from Los Angeles California. Musically inclined from her Father's influence on Mandolin and Violin and her Grandmother having played at Carnegie Hall in 1928 at the age of 14, inspired her further studies of music and inspiration to write her own songs.
Attending the Ethel Walker School for Girls exposed Elisa to performing in Spring plays as Rizzo in Grease for 2 years that then transferred into her Musical composition of Singing and Performing. Elisa achieved an MS in Chemistry from UCLA/ UCSC contributed to her technical approach of both the guitar and bass and she was awarded a Summer Scholarship at Berklee College of Music in Los Angeles that further inspired studies of the guitar. She studied saxophone for a brief time in New Orleans under Steve Goodson where she encountered Teddy Royal, Fats Domino, Trey Anastasio and Mike Gordon of Phish.
After recording on a Yamaha MT-50 four track with a tube Echoplex she eventually downsized and moved on to digital after meeting Tommy D Daugherty(Tupac) at a 1999 New Years Eve party. Tommy signed on to record and Produce the Ike Willis Meets the Catholic Girls with Ike Willis among others, Elisa's most industry standard album to date, while she continues to write and record in Echo Park Hills of Los Angeles.
Her style has been compared to Kim Gordon(Sonic Youth), Chrissie Hynde(Pretenders), Chan Marshall(Cat Power), and Mazzy Star with a bit of Sheryl Crow. Elisa has performed with Babyseal and General Patton as bassist and drummer in both outfits while recording and writing her own material. The Album "Ike Willis Meets the Catholic Girls" is currently available on CD Baby and everywhere Digitally. Elisa Currently performs on the Santa Monica Promenade infrequently and in Los Angeles.
