Anthony Rodriguez began playing the guitar and singing at the age of fourteen. From then until present day, he as been a leading member of several musical acts in the genres of rock, industrial, electronica, hip-hop, trip-hop, R&B, latina, lounge, downtempo, reggae, dance, jazz, ambient, experimental and meditation music. During his career he has been a producer/engineer/composer for many musical acts as well, having owned and operated a recording studio in Houston from 1997 up to present day.
His acknowledgments include having held opening slots for the following musical acts: KMFDM, Gravity Kills, Dread Zeppelin, My Life With The Thrill Kill Kult, Chris Connelly (Ministry), Deadhorse, The Hunger and Eve. As far as radio goes, he has been aired and interviewed on Houston's ROCK 101 KLOL, 94.5 THE BUZZ, and several times on 91.7 KTRU. Also, his instrumental work has been recognized by the Korean-based and worldwide, Dahn Yoga, and is used in some of their meditation training programs. It is also on the playlist in their lobbies/shops across the globe.
Anthony's current endeavor is Emancipated Soul Movement [esoulm]. One could consider it a rebirth of sorts. [esoulm] consists of all of his passions consolidated under one roof, be it aspects of music, art, film, photography, health and spirituality. Having been quite consumed with music all of his adult life, he is currently seeking out other lifelong interests as well, such as photography, acting and film. The composition of motion picture scores has been a venture that he is indeed ready to embark upon as well. To sum it up, Emancipated Soul Movement is the heart, soul and mind of Anthony Rodriguez.
