Emma Leigh

The music industry can be tough, but this girl is tougher, and knows how to kick it...into overdrive!

Although labeled as "country", Emma Leigh considers herself a mainstream artist choosing an eclectic mix of Cool Country Blues and Rock, she sings everything from covers of popular classics to original songs that reflect her style and generation.

Although this first album is a reflection of a young girls' dream, Emma's journey of discovery has grown into a passion for songs with a strong backbone and bluesy feel, reminiscent of the “funk” era. "I Wanna Be Rich" (the album) was released when Emma was just 13 years old. Now, three years later; Emma continues to wow audiences of all ages combining her tender, soulful vocals, with the powerful edginess of today’s popular music. Emma can move you to tears with ballads like, “Daddy’s Little Girl” or the soon-to-be-released, “Gonna Be Strong”.

In the past two years, Emma has been honored to open shows for popular entertainers such as Chris Young, Trent Tomlinson, Steve Holy, and most recently, Greg Bates. Since 2009, Emma has been a regular cast member of Virginia Dreams Center Stage, a music variety show in its third season on the RFD-TV network, where she has worked with seasoned country music icons such as Linda Davis, Randy Travis, Ronnie McDowell, and Colin Raye, to name a few.

A brilliant star in the making, Emma’s light shines brightest when she’s on stage. In 2010, Emma had the opportunity to perform in Music City, USA at major Nashville venues such as “The Nashville Palace”, “Tootsies World Famous Orchid Lounge”, “The Commodore”, “Cadillac Ranch” (now Tequila Cowboys), “Rippy's”, and the famed “Belcourt Taps and Tapas”, a thrill for any entertainer! She has also traveled to France and Switzerland as a featured performer in the French/American Gospel Choir.

In her live shows, Emma updates old classics like The Beatles’ “Oh, Darlin’” and Bill Withers’ “Ain’t No Sunshine” and packages them with original songs such as “Buckle Up, Baby” and “I Wanna Be Rich”, presenting a diverse collection of music to be enjoyed by everyone!
