Tom Tron, a video game composer, and Mine Voss, a trained musical theater performer, met at a Yeti safari in Bhutan. They told themselves that if they can survive the Himalayas, they might also survive being in a band together.
"Emotikon" was then founded in April 2011. Their first single and video, "Money Isn't Everything", was released in November 2011. Their eponymous debut album is available since September 21st, 2012. In 2013 they released a digital download album of "Remixes" of the original album.
In October 2014, Mine left the band and new singer Natalie entered. Emotikon lives on and a new album will be released in 2015.
