This is a solo project. Literally this is what I did to stay sane during the 00s.
Eric Blackmer started playing guitar because of the Beatles. In High School in the late 60s he was in Simonpure whose members included David Frank of the System. Then in the early 70s he played hot single cylinder rock and roll in Velocette. Then later in the 70s with Art Attack, backing up Slaphappy at the Charles Playhouse in Boston. He played with Lucy Sollogub on the streets of Boston and in coffeehouses as Coleus and the Unicorn, a dulcimer and guitar duo Then marriage and 4 kids took precedence. In the late 90s and the 00s he performed with Full Cold Moon playing original and Celtic music.
Many people know Eric through his work in ProAudio sales and marketing, as a studio builder, or as a recording and live sound engineer. He worked for EU Wurlitzer, LaSalle Music, Daddy's Junky Music, Parsons Audio, and even Guitar Center. He has been involved in studio building projects for WGBH, Tom Sholz, Joe Perry, Steve Tyler, Marly Marl, Luny Tunes and Daddy Yankee. He was director of Sales and Marketing for Earthworks Audio, a company started by his late father, David Blackmer of dbx fame.
