Eric Loy

Biography

Witnessing The Beatles' first performance on The Ed Sullivan Show launched the impetus for Eric Loy to explore, find and express sounds on the guitar. Since then, he did the garage band scene in high school, then onto record with the progressive rock quartet, Tailwind in the seventies and instrumental fusion trio, Hipperoos in the ninties, while also exploring solo classical, jazz and new age solo guitar. He has also taught guitar for the last thirty years. Each album recorded, contains a variety of styles: jazz, rock, fusion, new age, classical and even a bit of country. Every album is purely instrumental. Also, the harp-guitar is employed on a cut or two on most albums.
