Eric Vincent

Singer, Guitarist, Songwriter, Eric Vincent is an amazing performer who began his career in Paris at the famous "Port du Salut" with Coluche. Living downtown Paris on a beautiful "péniche", he has a special passion for taking his music to every corner of the globe. His name has appeared on marquees in more than 140 countries, and he is probably one of the best contemporary singer in the tradition of the chanson française. In the USA, where he is touring every year, he has performed in every state except Hawaï and Alaska. He has appeared on radio and television and made a number of very successful tours of college, high school and universities. He has filled the Brooklyn Auditorium in New-York City several times as well as many other prestigious venues in the world.... World Congress Center in Atlanta, GA...Opera of Hanoï (Vietnam), Opera of Manaus (Brasil)...
He has recorded several CD's and videos with outstanding musicians, such as Pierre Chérèze, Sylvin Marc, Tony Rabeson, Jean-Philippe Audin, Billy Drewes, Eddy Louiss, Vincent Hamamdjian, Patrick Huard, Roland Romanelli, Justin Vali...

Eric's appearances elicit uniformly enthusiastic responses. With a powerful resonant voice, he is personable and dynamic, as well as an outstanding musician and a true poet "des temps modernes". During his concerts, the language barrier is overcome by his showmanship and by the lively spirit of his music. His songs, a blend of folk, jazz, rock and ethnic rhythms, dealing with universal themes, offer audiences direct contact with contemporary French poetry and songs, and are flavored by his world travels. Eric exhibits an extraordinary presence on stage. His acute sense of timing and charisma dazzles his audiences and makes them beg for more. His songs wed words of substance with sensitive, modern music.

PEINTURE HONGROISE (Hommage à Tivadar Csontvary)
(Paroles & Musique: Eric VINCENT)

An excellent musician, Eric Vincent 's virtuosity as a guitar player is impressive. His style is surprizingly sophisticated but in no way interferes with the warm and relaxed atmosphere he creates and which makes us forget that he is alone on stage.

(We need three notes to make a chord
Three chords for a tune
A bit of earth fire and water
Seven colors for a rainbow
If we need everything to make a world
If from differences we get harmony
Our lonelinesses are mingling
By the epicenter of life...)

Eric Vincent is featured in various textbooks : "C'est Comme ca", by Valette and Valette (D.C Heath and Co), "Sans Bornes" (Holt, Rinehart and Winston), Si on chantait avec...Eric Vincent" (Hatier/Didier), and in a video "Reflets Français", (Bernard Petit Prod.), promoted by AATF...

In addition to his busy concert schedule, Eric VINCENT has become involved in a world-wide project "Opération Boule de neige" started by school children in the small French town of Bonchamp to oppose violence in children's programming on television.
