ABOUT ESTHER AVILA
THE BEGINNING
I had the privilege to have been born in a Christian home in Santo Domingo, DR where at a young age I was taught the love of God. A deep passion to give God thanks and to exalt his name through music was born in me at the age of six years. I was motivated and encouraged by my parents Evangelist David Del Villar and the poetess Neredia Perez de Del Villar. I was the oldest of five children (two daughters and three sons). I’m grateful that both of my parents continue in their ministry today.
THE DEL VILLAR SISTERS MINISTRY
My sister Sara Del Villar began to sing at the age of five years. We would sing together at church and my father’s ministry (Faith Crusades) events. This is how the duet of the Del Villar Sisters (Las Hermanas Del Villar) ministry was born. We had the privilege to minister in the Caribbean Islands and the United States. During the next ten plus years of ministry we records eight albums which included:

ESTHER AVILA, FAMILY MINISTRY
I married David Avila, also a fruit of a Christian home at the age of nineteen. His parents Evangelist Manuel Avila and Olga Avila who also taught him to love God above all things. We will be celebrating over 28 years of marriage. The Lord has blessed our family with seven wonderful boys. I have also taught them to love the Lord above all things and to experience the unconditional love of the Father. My oldest sons are musicians that worship their Creator and carry the music legacy.
ESTHER AVILA, SOLOIST MINISTRY
I recorded my first solo musical project titled “Esther Avila” in 1994. This project included well known songs which were played in Radio Vision (1330 AM in the New York Metro Area) and Christian Radio stations in Dominican Republic. . Some of the top hits included “Laveme en Tu Sangre” (Wash Me Oh Lord) and “Te Necesito” (I Need You).
I recorded my second project titled “Alma Sana” (Healed Soul) in 1996. This project included key songs like 1) “Alma Sana” (Healed Soul), 2) “Tiempo Para Ti” (Time for You), and the hymn 3) “Al Sonar la Trumpeta” (when the Trumpet Blows). Upon completing this project I focused on raising my young children and began a new chapter in my ministry.
ESTHER AVILA, WORSHIP LEADER MINISTRY
I was given the opportunity to lead worship at Calvary Temple International in Wayne, NJ in 1997 while focusing on my primary ministry which is my family. I have served under the covering of Rev Richard & Woltrude Fogel and now under my current pastors Dr. Tom Keinath & Pastor Kim Keinath. I’ve discovered how to worship the Lord more deeply and spontaneously during the last 15 years of worship leading. I’ve had the blessing to ministry to souls that need to experience God’s unconditional love and realize hope for tomorrow via dynamic worship. My service to my local church has allowed me to minister in the English language expanding my ministry to both English and Spanish languages. Calvary Temple International (an Assembly of God church) has been a blessing to my ministry and the development of my family.
ESTHER AVILA, HOPE SOURCE MINISTRY
I believe God prepares us to reach higher goals. Over the last 40 years I’ve seen God’s faithfulness in my life. This fuels the passion and desire to continue to share His Goodness with people that need to hear about his Love and the plan He has for their lives. As I look forward, I’m excited about being able to release new music projects, encourage and provide support tools to people who need to hear about God’s unfailing love. I’ve launched HopeSource Ministry focused on helping people to restore, renew, equip and discover their life’s work. My upcoming projects will include: Contemporary Worship Series, Classic Hymns, Hope Studio Sessions and the updated release of the Del Villar Sisters.
GRATITUDE
I’m grateful to my Lord for the talent and passion He has gifted me. I love and appreciate my husband who has always believed in our calling to minister in music and word to share the message of faith and hope in these times.
