At the age of 4, Eva went to her sister's piano recital, where something incredible happened: she developed a crush on a little boy playing the violin. So, when asked by her mother if she wished to play the piano like her sister, she promptly replied “no” and that she wanted to play the violin. Thinking that she didn't know what she was saying, her parents told her to wait and ask again in one year.
One year later, she asked her parents again and they let her take violin lessons. While the crush on the boy didn't last, Eva continued to play the violin. All the way through high school, she entered competitions, played concertos with orchestras and attended summer music festivals for chamber music and orchestral music. Finally, she made the move to Nashville to study Violin Performance at the Blair School of Music at Vanderbilt University. In Music City, she learned as much as she could about classical music through her studies and pursued virtually every other genre of music through extensive listening as well as through mandolin, fiddle and jazz voice lessons.
Then, while she was studying at another summer music festival, she found that she was getting a little lonely, so she bought a ukulele online, had it shipped to her at camp and... well... she hasn't looked back... not until now. Now, Eva is on the brink of something. She really isn't sure what that “something” is quite yet, but she sure is grateful that you've taken an interest in her... “somethings”!
