Favorite Shape Triangle

Biography

FST is the music project of Aaron Ruffcorn. FST was founded in Iowa City, IA, circa 1999. Many years and demo albums later, FST released the self-titled LP FAVORITE SHAPE TRIANGLE (2007). FST's second album, AGAINST TIME, was released in 2009. It was written, arranged, recorded and produced by a one man sonic army. A third album is in the works, entitled PRISM. PRISM will be released in the first quarter of 2012.

In 2010, Ruffcorn rounded up a supporting band to bring FST live. The current lineup: Jacob Noble on drums, Todd Ciske on guitar, and Matt Fegaly on bass.

As a four piece, FST performed many shows in year one, including gigs at the Steel Bridge Songfest, Brady Street Festival, Up & Under's annual Battle of the Bands, and a live radio show on WMSE 91.7FM. They also released a five song EP, available here. It was recorded live, with no overdubs, and engineered by Sam Farrar (Phantom Planet, Maroon 5).
