Ferron Tjax Maleki and Ras Lion Sound is a unique reggae band, with the addition of a synthesized brass section, heavenly voices from the background section, and Ferron’s unique musical visionary talents. The ultimate aim is to captivate audiences, free minds, and spread the bands energy and passion. Blending the best of rock, reggae, rap, jazz, gospel, calypso, and ska music into an unprecedented performance of great music. We are not a cover band. The band performs original music, written and composed by Ferron. This means the events are hours of fresh new sounds and entertainment.
The International Reggae Arts Award recognized his talents an unprecedented seven times. Nominated in seven different categories included Best Song, Best Singer, Best Songwriter, Best Male Vocalist, Best Entertainer, Best Stage Presence and Best Producer for his single "Living in a Ghetto". He has added a new album titled “On the Frontline” in 2009.
Currently he has been performing in the Chicago area at venues such as the Morseland, the Wild Hare, the beer garden at Navy Pier, and International Culture Festivals.
