There are guitarists, and there are singer/songwriters – and then there’s Andy Sheppard. Virtuoso guitarist and award winning songwriter, Sheppard finds new ways to stretch the boundaries of guitar playing and songwriting, drawing in world music rhythms, ambient noise clips, looping and anything else that comes to mind. He coaxes brave new sounds from a converted ’69 Martin steel guitar and a late-model laptop.
Find The Others is a mesmerizing new music and visual project by Andy Sheppard exploring the contrasts of rural and urban life. Video by Matt Hilliard-Forde (Buck 65, Emm Gryner) and Graydon Sheppard (Feist, Hidden Cameras) is synchronized with the live music for an immersive concert experience. The music features creative contributions from Snowblink (Bruce Penninsula, MGMT), Mark Duggan, Jorn Andersen (Bruce Cockburn, David Wilcox), Olivier Alary (Bjork), and even an appearance from Isabella Rossellini.
