Finney Brothers

Biography

Born and raised in suburban Connecticut, the Finney Brothers were most certainly born to rock... this time, however, they mean it in the classical sense of the word.

Growing up, they spent most of their early childhood days listening to WEBE 108 or CBS FM, depending on which parent had the radio on. Despite their soft rock and golden oldies upbringing, the two managed to branch out and discover various different kinds of music, from Beethoven to Zappa.

The Finney Brothers were introduced to the world of classical music by their involvement in their elementary school orchestra, where Mike played the cello and Scott played the violin.

Both Mike and Scott have played in various rock bands over the last two decades. Most recently, Mike was the drummer for the Connecticut-based cover band "Delayed Reaction".

In the early 1990s, the brothers began composing music on their Commodore Amiga computer. Recent advances in digital music production have made it possible for the Finney Brothers to "record" their original classical music. With the help of the Finney Brothers Digital Orchestral Ensemble, they have managed to arrange and produce over one hundred songs, which they would like to share with you.

Their debut classical music release, "yes, we were raised in this one", represents the finest classical music composed by the Finney Brothers. Almost twenty years in the making, this album showcases eighteen hand-selected tracks from their over one hundred original classical compositions.
