FrediX is an original music composer and songwriter who defies categorization. Hailing from the land of the Vikings, his early years were spent not in his hometown Stockholm, Sweden, but up in the alps in Switzerland, where his best friend was the music of the Beatles, Jimmy Hendrix and Black Sabbath. Later on at 13, when he moved with his father to a god-forsaken village on the West coast of Greenland, he became THE DRUMMER of Sukkertoppen (Sugar Top), making the Eskimos dance and swoon every night. This marks the start of his professional musical career.
As a young adult he studied music theory and cello and developed his talent as a composer of both classical music and pop/rock songs. In the 80's he led a band in Stockholm, "Collect Call," and performed live for many years as a singer, keyboardist, bass player and drummer. His music could be heard on Swedish radio and reached neighboring countries like Denmark (where his great grandfather was from). He also played cello in the Stockholm Academic Orchestra, among others.
Throughout the years he continued to compose, sing and play various musical instruments. His tremendous interest in film and film music also inspires him to create compositions that would befit epics on the big screen. Like David Bowie, FrediX is a musical talent who cannot be put into any pre-defined genre or categories. He just is FrediX, with a big "X"!
