GEVOLT was founded in 2001 by Anatholy Bonder, Yevgeny Kushnir and Max Mann. In 2006 released a debute CD in Russian language called Sidur (ritual metal for practical use). Later the band changes the concept and start singing in traditional European Jewish language Yiddish, covering some classic Yiddish songs. As a result we get a 2-song containing EP "Yiddish Metal" which was self released by the band as promo package in 2007. During 2009-2010 GEVOLT makes some lineup changes and a second full-length album AlefBase was released in February-March of 2011.
