Gabriel Eziashi

Biography

A prolific songwriter and a dynamic singer and worshipper with a phenomenal voice range, his drive and fervour for the art of worship has made him one of the most compelling voices to emerge from the UK gospel scene.

Born in Lagos, Nigeria, Gabriel Eziashi is the fifth in a family of seven siblings. He has been involved in the UK gospel music scene for over thirteen years, serving as a worship leader for over twelve years with Jesus House for All The Nations, (a parish under The Redeemed Christian Church of God) Mandate men’s choir and the Festival of Life, which is the largest gathering of Christians in Europe.

In 2006, Eziashi recorded his first album in Jesus House, London. It was the first-ever live recording in Jesus House and the thousand-seater auditorium was filled to capacity. The success of that project was phenomenal the next two years was spent touring extensively all over United Kingdom and Europe, ministering and promoting the album, aptly titled "Stand By Me".

In 2008, Gabriel recorded a second album, this time in Nigeria. Under the auspices of international award winning producers, Cobhams Asuquo, Wole Oni, Rotimi Akinfenwa and Iyke Onka, a ten-track album was recorded. In his own words Gabriel describes the songs as "everything good and beautiful that I have experienced with my Lord Jesus".

Two singles from the album ("My Praise" & "We Declare Your Kingdom") are already enjoying massive airplay in Nigeria and the United Kingdom, and a promotional video has been produced for "My Praise". He has collaborated and shared the same platform with several world renowned gospel ministers including Muyiwa of Riversongz, MOBO Award's Best Jazz Artiste, Yolanda Brown, Bishop John Francis, Paul Irabor, Mike Aremu and Donnie McClurkin, amongst others.

With all that life had thrown at him, he has just one belief; "that with God nothing shall be impossible" (Luke 1:37).
