Garr Lange

Garr Lange was born and raised on Whidbey Island, Washington. After getting his degree at Washington State University he took his talent for writing music and plays to New York City where he combined both those skills in off-off Broadway productions of his plays, 18 K’s and Turbo. His recordings from 18 K’s led him to sign with an artist management group All-Out Entertainment based in Los Angeles as a singer/songwriter. He also agreed to representation from the William Morris Agency as a playwright.
Shortly after moving to Boston his talents in both areas gained the immediate attention of the Boston entertainment industry. His play, The Water Table, was selected by New Voices for two staged readings at the revered Boston Shakespeare Co. The second reading was the result of his Finalist Award in the prestigious Clauder Competition for New England Plays. The Water Table eventually premiered at the Renegade Theater Co. in Hoboken, New Jersey.
On the music front Garr formed the band The Big Rig, an assemblage of some of Boston’s finest musicians. His unique blend of Rock/Country/Blues soon elevated the band to prominence in a music scene dominated by hard rock acts. He won the Boston Music Foundation/ASCAP award for ‘Best Song’ and along with his band gained numerous Boston Music Award nominations including ‘Best Act’ and ‘Male Vocalist of the Year’. He was featured in articles by The Boston Herald and The Globe and was selected by Boston Cablevision and MetroParks for two performances in successive years at the Hatch Shell, the well known amphitheater on the Charles River.
In 2003, Garr moved to Seattle where he recorded Crossing the Line. Every song from that impressive debut album released in 2004 received airplay and glowing reviews in many different formats across the U.S. and Europe, clearly illustrating his diverse appeal among listeners all over the globe.
In 2006 Garr released Run Through Fire where he continued to expand his musical horizons. Run Through Fire is full of unique and compelling songs fueled by his soulful vocals, original grooves, and insightful, passionate lyrics.
Presently, Garr lives in Nashville where he's continuing his career as a singer/songwriter on Music Row.
