Garry B. Coston

Garry B. Coston (Coston) was born in Jacksonville, Florida on October 4th. His music background is a cauldron of all music tastes and styles. Raised in a small country town, Coston’s gospel, soul and blues influence can be clearly heard. Coston was schooled in vocal instruction and sight reading while attending Sarasota High School by His Choral Teacher and music/vocal instructor, Mr. Andrew J. Wright. After learning voice, choral, sight reading, and theory instruction from Mr. Wright, Coston would not again delve or perform in music until much later in life. He began composing music in 1982 and has been composing via keyboard since that time. Coston has performed on United States Naval Vessels, in the United Kingdom (Scotland), Germany, and with numerous professional groups and bands within the State of Florida, mainly in South and West Central Florida. From 1990 to 2000 was the busiest decade in Coston’s life for playing, performing, and fronting professional bands. During this period, he also covered and cut a dance single entitled, "Oh No," originally performed by the Commodores, by "o.b.a. Frank Lords" of Miami, Florida. Coston’s future goals and aspirations are to become a Record Producer, International singer, performer and songwriter, and to also develop new, up and coming artists and music talents of all music genres.
