BIOGRAPHY
Ryan Alvarado and James Fraser forged Gemanon mid-2011. Their initial goal was to find individuals both talented and ambitious to complete their lineup. Deciding to let their newly composed music find the right musicians rather than vice versa, Jesus Sahagun and Austin Gruhn soon joined the ranks of Gemanon.
With a music and career goals set, the four musicians strive to forge truly original music and help grow the metal genre. Gemanon's strong chemistry allows them to execute stunning performances live and in the studio. Gemanon's catchy melodies, complex rhythm, memorable lyrics, and tight productions are loved by many, but they will not settle until the world hears their unforgettable songs.

"Bottom line is Gemanon and their E.P., Earthrift, is already better then material that older and more established bands have been churning out for years. There is a level of progression on these songs that is really quite good in their depth. This is due in large part to guitarist Ryan Alvarado’s impressive skills in riffs and soloing. Paul Anderson is on drums and between him and Jesus on bass the rhythm section is as technical and tight as bands that have been going at this for a decade or more." — ThatDevilMusic.net
Gemanon has been gaining some serious promotion lately and for good reason. It’s hard to believe that these guys have only been around for less than a year, that they are not already signed and only have just over 500 fans. All I can say is this is the band you need to keep your eyes and ears on as they rise in the underground metal scene. — UndergroundMusicUnites.com

James Fraser (vocals, guitar) - Since age 6, James has studied the guitar relentlessly. Always knowing what he wanted to do with his life, James played in small bands wherever he could, whether it be on the drums or the guitar. James discovered Ryan after watching several of his guitar videos. Together they started collaborating to find like-minded musicians. Now armed with a prodigious line-up, James is ready to take this project straight to the top.
Jesus Sahagun (bass, vocals) - Jesus has always been influenced by metal music and always wanted to lead a band to success. In high school he joined Aeglyss as lead guitarist and vocalist. After a couple of years in that project he decided it was time to move onto a dedicated metal project with high aspirations and goals. After a short band hiatus to hone his technical skills, Jesus was asked to join Gemanon as their bassist. Gladly accepting the offer, Jesus now sets a strong foundation for Gemanon.
Ryan Alvarado (guitar, vocals) - Ryan Alvarado began playing guitar at the age of eight. Twelve years later, Ryan has worked in many metal projects including his sovereign act Exogenesis, an instrumental progressive metal project. For Exogenesis, Ryan became proficient in playing drums, bass, and synth in order to record an entire 50+ minute album himself. Several years after recording The Overview Effect and countless other singles, Ryan joined up with James Fraser to form Gemanon.
Austin Gruhn (drums) - Austin Gruhn discovered his interest in music at age 11. Living in Atlanta, Georgia musicians and music were all around him. Drums came naturally for him due to his sense for rhythm and time. After two years of playing drums Austin started listening to much heavier music and got a double bass pedal for playing metal. Austin also learned guitar and piano to satiate his musical needs. Two years later at age 17 during his senior year of high school he moved to California and joined Aeglyss, a death metal band which toured with Death Angel in Arizona. After Austin left Aeglyss he began searching for a new band. After finding out that Gemanon parted ways with their original drummer Paul Anderson, he immediately started posting covers and auditions for their band.
