Gemineye of Conspirituality
Gemineye first burst on to the underground scene in 2008 as one half of the revolutionary hip hop group Conspirituality. Snatching headlines and forcing the slumbering masses of hip hop heads to rise up and take notice of the myth-busting truth-saying MC emerging from the West described by many eye witnesses turned believers as The Honorable Prophet and General Gemineye.
Conspirituality’s Sept. 2008 release of their début EP ‘Evil Politicians’ propelled Gemineye and his codefendant Zaddik Melchizedek across Canada, serving as the sound track to their highly successful cross country tour culminating on Parliament Hill in the nations capital with the much publicized ‘March on Ottawa’ along side the Vancouver 9/11 Truth Movement demanding the Canadian Government investigate the tragic events of September 11th 2001.
With the momentum of the Evil Politicians tour still red hot Gemineye AKA Didymos teamed up with JMO & DJ Ball from We are Change Vancouver to bring you Conspirituality’s first video ‘Ambushed’. The controversial masterpiece quickly became an internet sensation and even received mention in anti New World Order author Mark Dice’s book ‘The Illuminati Facts & Fiction’ published in April 2009.
The success of Ambushed made Gemineye’s expanding fan base clamor for more of the meticulous veil lifting lyrics he feverishly spits. In June 2009 Gemineye appeased the masses with his first full length album titled ‘Ripples in the Pond’, released as one half of the self titled Conspirituality double disk LP. Fans rejoiced and critics gave praise as the album artistically catapulted Gemineye to another level reaching stratosphere heights. This album spawned the pairing of Gemineye and acclaimed hip hop video director Stuey Kubrick to create another instantly classic and equally contentious music video for the single Bohemain Rap City.
With the streets still abuzz and the internet in flames Gemineye hit the road all the way to New York City where he shared the stage with the likes of Immortal Technique and Channel Live as part of the We are Change Real Change Conference. While there performing his anti George Bush themed hit single ‘Ambushed’ Gemineye caught the eye of the CBC’s camera lens earning him airtime on the 5th Estate 9/11 special entitled ‘The Untold Story’ originally broadcasted on November 27th 2009.
Both as a solo artist and along with Conspirituality Gemineye has toured, performed, and collaborated with such artists as Shabazz the Disciple, Hell Razah, Immortal Technique, Sweatshop Union, Kyprios, Moka Only, Josh Martinez, Kia Kadiri, Zion I and Ndidi Cascade and shows no signs of slowing down. Despite the earned success Gemineye is not one to rest on his laurels. The upcoming album titled Conspiritual Warfare will be released in 2010 and will include features by Shabazz the Disciple (Sunz of Man/T.H.U.G. Angels), Hell Razah and Zaddik Melchizedek (Sons of Zadok).
Look for the first single titled ‘I Don’t Believe” featuring Shabazz the Disciple to be released in April 2010. The physical and Digital Released will contain the original DJ Extremidiz version and remixes by Stu Ray, JT420, BigBrother and D-Rec. Two versions of the video will be released both of which were filmed in September 2008 in Manhattan at Ground Zero and Red Hook Brooklyn by Stu Ray. One release will be the DJ Extremidiz version and the second will be the Stu Ray Remix, DJ Ball We Are Change 9/11 directors cut.
