Meridian Green's voice has been described as "gorgeous" and "angelic." She is a folk musician, singer/songwriter, guitarist, recording artist and community activist. Her repertoire of original, traditional and contemporary music draws on her acoustic Americana roots and reflects her commitment to build a place and preserve a planet where future generations will know that we loved them. She is also the co-inventor of the Parsons/Green StringBender.
Gene Parsons is a multi-instrumentalist, singer, writer, record producer, inventor, master machinist, motorcycle mechanic and steam enthusiast. Since the early days of recording in Bakersfield with Gary Paxton, throughout the 1960's and '70's as a member of Nashville West, The Byrds, the Flying Burrito Brothers, in his solo projects, and with Parsons Green, Gene Parsons has been an innovator and creative force fusing bluegrass, country, rock and folk music.
Parsons Green brings a distinctive vocal harmony blend and unique instrumental approach to a diverse repertoire rooted in folk, country, and bluegrass and pollinated by everything from Appalachian to Zydeco. Parsons' innovative guitar, banjo and harmonica playing weaves a vibrant musical tapestry entwining with Green's alternately driving or angelic high-strung guitar playing.
