GEORGE BARNETT is a musician based in Herefordshire, UK.
George has been making music since the age of three. He plays drums, percussion, piano, guitar and bass. He also sings and writes & produces all his own work.
Currently, George is promoting his self-written first EP, which he plays every instrument on, produced & mastered by himself. Sierra Planes is released September 2010.
George is now mainly focusing on his own work and performing solo, but he has also recently performed for and been involved with a number of bands including Tiramisu, Blame Kenny and The Pombear Originals. He also deps regularly for other artists and bands, and runs his own percussion group. George has a vast experience of touring, having toured with world famous drumming phenomenon Jojo Mayer in September 2008, and performing gigs far and wide across Europe. He won the UK National Young Drummer Of The Year competition in February 2008.
George also writes, directs, edits and produces his own films. He has made many shorts, but currently available feature length releases include The Importance Of Not Being Micky and The Goatfarmer.
George now lives in Herefordshire, UK with his family and dog Jess. He likes cups of tea, tapping rhythms with his hands on every available surface and P.G. Wodehouse.
