George Molton

Born and raised in the small eastern Kentucky town of Olive Hill, KY, professional singer/songwriter George was influenced by the country and bluegrass sounds that surrounded him. The 4th child of 6(4 brothers,1sister),the sounds of George Jones,Merle Haggard and other country legends were a big part of growing up in the area at the time. Soon,George would fall in love and begin playing the songs of his music heroes. He got his first paying job at the age of 14,at The Coalton Country Jubilee, near Ashland,Ky. Soon he was traveling around the tri-state,making new fans wherever he went. In 2000 he took the job as the house band at the world famous Austin City Saloon! That same year he signed his first writing deal with Hori-Pro Entertainment, with cuts on albums by John MIchael Montgomery, Montgomery/Gentry and others! George left Austin City in 2006,to pursue other career opportunities,by 2010,he got into the bar business himself, partnering up with close friends to open "Molton's" In 2012,he sold his interest in the bar to once again pursue his music career! He has now completed his newest cd,with producer Trey Matthews, due for release on the KMAN Music label later this year! George's sound has been referred to as a cross between Conway Twitty and Waylon Jennings by legendary producer Garth Fundis! Soon, his music will be heard nationwide!
