I was born and raised in Chicago, IL but have been living in Atlanta, GA for 31 years. I'm not a professional musician but have been playing guitar since 1970 and have worked in radio for over 30 years. I like to play, write and occasionally record my own work and play with friends. I've written dozens of songs over the years, recorded a handful most of which are demos but hope to re-record not just some of the older ones again but newer ones as well. I grew up listening to my older brothers jazz records, my sisters' rock and soul records, and the popular music of my parents' day. I gravitated toward rock music with, of course, The Beatles as a huge influence. It was listening to them that got me interested in playing guitar. I also play some rudimentary piano and a touch of tabla. As an adult my musical tastes are all over the map with a heavy leaning these days on 'world music' but my playing style leans toward rock and folk with a bit of jazz thrown in.
