Gina Demergeau-Lasseur is a Christian/Inspirational singer, song writer and recording artist currently living in South Florida. Born and raised in Haiti, she started playing the guitar, composing music and singing worship songs in local churches at the age of twelve.
After moving to Florida, Gina maintained her involvement in a variety of musical activities, such as collaborating in different recording projects and joining several choirs. Her unique musical style stems from a rich culture of singing and dancing Haitian folk songs passed on by her grandmother, coupled with the influence of "chansonettes francaises" (French folk music) musicians of her youth. In her music, you can hear the cultural influence of home country, as well as inspiration from her Diaspora as she became acquainted with singers like Michael W. Smith, Sandi Patti, Cece Winans, Tramaine Hawkins among others.
Her debut album "Bondye Vivan" marked her response to the Holy Spirit's insistent calling to minister on a larger scale. The songs featured on the album are not only pleasing to the ear, but they also transpire a captivating message of hope and encouragement to a suffering and often desperate world. In the past years, her CD featuring a track list of mostly Creole songs has been played throughout the world. Its popularity has notably been seen in the Caribbean islands, the USA, Canada and parts of Africa. Her soothing vibrato is often described as a "gentle caress" that leaves you wanting more long after she sings her last note.

Still dedicated to spreading a positive message, Gina is currently recording her second album. After the response from her first release, she felt prompted to write in all the languages she's been blessed to know: English, French and Creole. When asked in which language she's producing her next project, Gina says, "I'm writing my music just like God gives it to me."
A percentage of the proceeds from Gina's album will be donated to INTERNATIONAL FIREFIGHTERS ASSISTANCE, INC. (IFA), a registered 501(c)3 non- profit organization in Florida that provides humanitarian assistance, support, education and training to firefighters and emergency rescue workers in underprivileged countries. IFA hopes to strengthen local communities by assisting its citizens to better prepare for emergencies and disasters. The Republic of Haiti is currently IFA’s target country.
