Gino Love

Gino Love was born on April 19, 1971 in Eastern Europe where his classical musician parents taught him Piano and Violin since the age of 3. In 1979 after moving to NYC Gino fell in love with Disco and started collecting records. At the age of 14 Gino started mixing and making remexes at home. He then knew that his dream was to become a DJ and ultimately produce House Music. After making endless tapes, he got his first steady gig playing at a Roller Rink. Shortly after, he scored gigs at local clubs and bars. On his off nights he would visit the legendary DJs and carefully took notes and studied their style. Not long after that Gino Love developed his own style and started working at some of the clubs where he originally came to learn from his mentors. He started a home studio and took his mixes and tracks to the next level when he founded the record label Kozmik Funkshun Records in 1995 and started releasing Underground House on 12". As his studio and club experience grew, so did his resume producing and engineering. To this day Gino Love plays music at clubs and basically lives in the studio. Even though he evolved his own style and technique, he still remembers his early roots and The Founding Pioneers that invented and spread the original message of House, Electro and Dance Music. In the present, Gino Love continues to experiment with new equipment and his collection of vintage gear to create many instrumentals and songs that are a reflection on his eternal devotion to his DJ career and his uniqie style and ability to produce music that takes you on a trip through several types of House and Electronic music, even Disco and Funk. The future looks like countless new productions, lots more gear and even branching out his inventions into a completely new electronic music style.
