God of Shamisen is a band from California, led by a master of the Shamisen, a fretless Japanese lute. The band involves elements spanning a multitude of genres, including progressive rock, metal, and funk. Formed in late 2004, the band features Kevin Kmetz, Karl Schnaitter, Mark Thornton, and Lee Smith (the drummer of Estradasphere).
