Gomer Hendrix was influenced at an early age by Frank Zappa and Weird Al Yankovic. There are many artists he's proud to play, but it was mainly these two guys and Oingo Boingo that inspired him to write his own style of music. Gomer likes to keep the humor in the music, whether it be subtle, or in your face, he's great at keeping things interesting by using different styles of rock on each CD. His guitar wizardry shows through out, and currently have 6 CDs. He's been to every State in the U.S., played some in Europe, and Mexico. He's done a wide variety of engagements as performing for thousands at a President Reagon benefit (the Hilton where he got shot, but it only winged him) to 2 dudes in a bar in Alabama - and everything in between. Gomer has appeared in San Francisco bay area clubs, on radio stations KZSU Stanford, Radio Free Berkeley, KPFA Berkeley, SFSound Comcast, Pacifica's Laugh Locally program, and on the Bruce Latimer show.
