BIOGRAPHY
GRACE@ARMS is a new rock band started by two brothers, Bastion and Milo, in small-town Indiana. Their style varies per song--the ideas govern the feel of each song rather than a strict adherence to a single sound--but all of their music is lyrical, intelligent, and driven. If the band's sound had to be summed up, however, a good description would be a Springsteen/Mellencamp-esque swing and lyricism with the intensity and vocal styles of the Offspring and other newer, slightly harder bands. Fans have described their sound as being reminiscent of Springsteen, the Offspring, the Foo Fighters, Counting Crows, and even Death Cab for Cutie.
GRACE@ARMS explores themes of hope in the real world, the struggle to maintain innocence while coming to grips with growing up, and the exploration of life, love, and the pursuit of purpose.
GRACE@ARMS has only once CD, an LP called Chrysalis which is a collection of seven of their most representative songs (not necessarily their best, but rather the songs which best describe them). It covers the different sounds and ideas which fans can expect to see developed musically, mentally, and emotionally as the band releases new material.
GRACE@ARMS is affiliated with no agents, managers, or production companies--independent or otherwise. It is entirely a labor of the passion and determination of Bastion, their lead member. As such a personal endeavor, GRACE@ARMS is extremely appreciative of feedback from fans and onlookers, whether positive or negative. Please come interact with them at their website and social networks. In the mean time, enjoy the sounds, ideas, and triumph of Chrysalis.
