Blazing a trail from obscurity to prominence, Greg Harris and the Little Rock Community Choir has arrived with a brand new project: Minister Greg Harris Live In Little Rock. A native of Little Rock, Arkansas now living in Des Moines, Iowa Greg Harris grew up in the Pentecostal church. He began playing the piano in the seventh grade,. but because of shyness, he had to be bribed into singing.
In 1993 he made an attempt to record with a group that he established called "Little Rock on Fire" The attempt failed and Greg decided to give up the desire to record or sing. God soon changed Greg's mind by moving a friend to invite him to sing on a live recording in Louisiana. His ministry of music was truly anointed by God and Greg knew that God was telling him that it was time to try again.
In 1994, Greg formed the Little Rock Community Choir this is an interdenominational group of young people who have developed into a powerhouse of disciplined singers.
His obscure past has given way to a prominent blessed future. Greg Harris is winning hearts every where as he ministers in song. His credits include being the first writer/musician from the state of Arkansas to have his work accepted in the Gospel Music Workshop Of America's New Music Seminar (1989-1992) and Greg's song "You Better Tell Somebody was accepted in the GMWA Mass Choir in 2001.
Greg has traveled with his choir far and near. They have graced the stage with some of the top gospel artist such as Albertina Walker, Evangelist Esther Smith, Chicago Mass, The Williams Brothers. They have appeared on BET's Bobby Jones Gospel, and sung for former President Bill Clinton at the 1996 National Democratic Rally in Little Rock, Arkansas.
