Biography

Gustav and the Seasick Sailors is a collective of musicians from Helsingborg run by the singer and songwriter Gustav Haggren. GATSS was formed in 2004 and have since then released 3 albums, performed more than 200 shows in USA, Canada and Europe, been aired on MTV and many radio stations around the globe.

GATSS has performed at many festivals such as Fusion Festival (DE), Popkomm (DE), Arvikafestivalen (SWE), MEI (IT) and Goud’ Acoustic Festival (FR).

In October Gustav appears on a Townes Van Zandt tribute album together with Thomas Denver Jonsson, J. Tillman, Great Lake Swimmers and Be Good Tanyas.

The latest release is called Brilliant Hands and the title refers to the many handshakes, smells and people that Gustav has encountered during his many travels. All tracks on the new album was written on the road and it was recorded in USA and Sweden, produced by Gustav himself.

The 3rd album from this folky pop group from Sweden. Produced by Gustav Haggren himself, this is the best and most interesting production from GATSS so far. All songs written on the road 2007 when GATSS performed 104 shows in USA, Canada and Europe.
