Hasaan Young was born in 1983 in Tucson, Arizona. He grew up on the north side of the city where hard times were common and growing had to be done quickly. His father, a local drug dealer, was confined to prison for 8 years on drug related charges leaving HROC fatherless. At the age of 21, H-ROC, during an altercation, received a life threatening gunshot wound to the chest. After the near death experience, he decided to work harder and stay focused on making his dream become a reality.
He took rapping seriously, incorporated his beats and his lyrics together making his own unique sound. Hasaan and some of his boys came together and formed a group called “The Heat”. “The Heat” has since released three albums produced by HROC. These albums were sold very successfully throughout Arizona. As time went on, they grew from boys to men building trust and loyalty between them. They found a solid, tighter, harder working and harder hitting group within themselves. They took on a name to fit their lifestyle evolving into “Loyalty Clicc” which consists of H-ROC (Hasaan), T-Mac, 100 Proof, Big Maal, Awelle and T-Nox. Together they kill the mic, pump crowds and always have each others back. Focused to dominate the rap game, they are the tightest, most hard hitting MCs in the southwest and backed by five of the hottest producers anywhere. With H-ROC’s remarkable skill and unchallenged fortitude to create unprecedented songs, matched with his skilled and entertaining live performance, he is sure to become the success he was meant to be. He is skilled and ready to take the mic whenever he gets the opportunity.
H-ROC recently released his debut album “Y’all Ain’t Ready” which was recorded in Los Angeles, California at Rythem Writerz Studio. His album is dedicated to representing his click, his city, his state and the whole southwest.
To date, H-ROC has performed in numerous shows ranging from opening for various artists such as “Snoop Dogg,” “Ice Cube” and the “Game” to a featured entertainer in Rocky Point, Mexico for events such as Spring Break, Memorial Day Weekend, and Labor Day Weekend. He also performed at The Players Ball, Utah’s Summer Jam concert series as well as many local Arizona venues and house parties. H-ROC also organized a concert at the Realito Theater in Tucson, which sold over 1500 tickets. H-ROC has sold over 2500 cd’s from his home and out of the trunk of his car. Currently, he performs in Singapore.
Hasaan’s motto in life is “stay ready so you don’t have to get ready.”
