It was roughly 2 minutes into my first piano lesson when I realized two things about God's plan for my life:
1. I was going to be a musician
2. Classical piano was not my calling
Soon afterward I wrote my first song, which quickly became popular among my circle of friends. I started to write songs as often as possible, but it wasn't until I surrendered all of my work to God that things started happening for my musical career.
Ever since then, God has been leading me to places I never thought I would go. I'm associating with people I never thought I'd meet. Every song I've written is based off of one of the people I've encountered since my surrender. I truly hope everyone who listens to my music is blessed by what they hear. I pray that everything I write will point straight back to God, and nothing else. My mission is to be encouraging but, at the same time, to be frank. The Way on which God's children are meant to travel is not a light and easy matter. We will always be dealing with hardships, and fighting with our flesh. But we are not forsaken. Regardless of our struggles, we are not abandoned. We are told in Jeremiah 29:11 that He knows the plans He has for us; plans to help and not harm us, to give us hope, and a future.
