John Baker - aka “Jungle Dog” -bass- Moved to Chicago just shy of 21, John was soon working with musicians who inspired the music he grew up on; backing a gospel group with pianist Sonny Thompson, a producer for King and Chess records, touring with Hubert Sumlin, and doing gigs where heavyweights like Buddy Guy and Junior Wells would sit in. Among John's influences are the Stones, Tower of Power, and The Band.
Aaron Apter -Percussion- Aaron’s influences include the Beatles, Police, and the Meters. He has played with bands such as Ekoostik Hookah, Wynton Marsalis and Wolfgang Parker. Currently he is involved with several groups around town including his own project Plastic Boots.
Patrick and John Baker met while playing together with area bluesman Chainsaw Dupont, during that time they recorded albums Ghost Kings of Beale St and The Real Guitar Hero. They started playing some gigs in 2007 as a trio when Chainsaw took a brief hiatus but had not quite settled on a band name yet. Meanwhile, Amanda and Patrick met at Musical Expressions teaching studios in Naperville, where Patrick teaches guitar lessons and ensemble classes. Amanda happened to be singing and playing guitar in the class Patrick was teaching. Several classes later Patrick asked her to be a singer on the album Wheels of Time, she later joined the band and came up with the name. Aaron Apter showed up in 2010 after moving to the Chicago area and emailing Ed Breckenfeld looking for gigs. Ed is local drum guru and contributor for several magazines, he also works at Musical Expressions and referred Aaron to the band.
Previous band members include: PJ Dalton, Chris Swade, Marty Thoma, Mike Knight, Sophie Hall, Bart, and Dennis Dugan.
