Harmonica Hinds has been performing in the Chicago area and its surroundings since 1973. He was invited to Chicago, while living in Ottawa, Canada, by James Cotton. He became the house harmonica player at the Legendary club, Theresa's Lounge.Hinds has been performing throughout Europe and was part of the new generation of Chicago Blues that performed in Germany in 1977. He also toured Tokoyo, Japan and Canada. He's on the albums of Koko Taylor, Lefty Dizz and Big Mouse Walker, John Primer, Eddie Taylor Jr., Tre and Mud Morganfield.
Hinds self produced the cds Harmonica Hinds-Finally and Harmonica Hinds-Anything if I Could. All tunes on the cds are originals. And the musicians who accompanied him are: Eddie Taylor Jr.(gtr), Tom Holland (gtr), Rick Kreher (gtr), EG McDaniel (bss), and Kenney Smith(dms).
Hinds performs frequently at Buddy Guy's Legends as a soloist with guitar and harmonica, sometimes he'll have a guitarist accompany him. Then at other times he'll have his full band or he'll play back up harmonica in other bands.
