Havilah Tower & The Seekers

Biography

Havilah Tower, ClassAcoustic Rock, acoustic rock with a classical twist
“This post-modern take on classical influences is nothing short of exhilarating.” – A&R Select

“Described as a "classacoustic rock" band, the trio of Havilah Tower (vocals, guitar, lyrics), Stephen Perkins (djembe drum) and Chris Wright (cello) indeed create an imaginative sound with the cello and djembe punctuating Tower's words. Tower has an expressive voice and the Perkins/Wright backing add a texture that's certainly unique.”— Jim Beal Jr., San Antonio Express News

Forthcoming CD: Havilah Tower’s second cd, Producer Sean Roux, is slated for release in mid-2009

What is “ClassAcoustic Rock”? Acoustic singer/songwriter with classical instrumentation.

Austin, Texas is home to Havilah Tower, a singer/songwriter and the name of the “classacoustic rock” band that brings home the acoustic rock sound with the elegance of acoustic and classical instrumentation. “It’s a rivetingly original sound.”

The Sound
Classic. Havilah Tower’s unique vocals have been hailed as being reminiscent of pop stars Natalie Merchant, Jewel and early Madonna. With a broad range, her voice has also been compared to country singer Allison Kraus and torch music of the 1940s. Combined with the djembe drum and cello, Havilah Tower’s original music takes the listener on a journey through the trials and lessons of life: relationship hurdles, growing up, letting go and questioning the status quo. The song characters weave a timeless tapestry of relatable stories including the search for forgiveness, the woman who reconciles with a past love, fateful reunions and the trio who go on a journey as Seekers.
