Heart & Soul

Biography

Music was the common denominator that brought them together. They met when Greg was asked to write a song for Glenda’s high school graduating class. He grew to love the acoustic guitar, songwriting and singing during his high school years. Glenda grew up in a musical family and learned piano and singing harmony with her twin sister Brenda. Glenda’s group of four girls sang harmonies so they were asked to back him up for the graduation. That’s where their story begins.

At a young age, Glenda asked to receive God’s gift of eternal life. She grew up knowing God as her Heavenly Father, Jesus as her Savior, and the Holy Spirit as her source of strength and comfort. Through discipleship and God’s compelling love, Greg gave his heart to the Lord at the age of 19, coming out of Mormonism. So began Greg and Glenda’s journey of God’s call on their lives by using their music and gifts for God’s glory. Greg and Glenda married in 1982. Later that year they gave birth to miraculous twins, Rachael and Michelle, born three months prematurely. Thirteen years later, God blessed them with a healthy baby girl, Anna.

Music is still the common denominator that forms this family and team, “Heart & Soul.” Greg and Glenda have served on staff as Worship Pastor in Buhl, Idaho; Twin Falls, Idaho; Fort Worth, Texas; Layton, Utah and currently Shreveport, Louisiana. They served on staff with Evangelist Dave Roever in Fort Worth, Texas. Greg worked in the television production and crusade music departments for Dave. Rachael and Michelle trained for ministry in Master’s Commission in Dallas, Texas. Anna sings with Mom and Dad and teaches fun hip hop dances. One of the band members at the church in Layton, Utah was Richard Newton. He grew in his anointing and musical skill and captured the heart of their daughter Michelle. They both are gifted songwriters as well. They married in 2006 and gave birth to the first grandchild Caleb in 2007, then Marlee in 2009. The Bostocks met another young man during their travels, named Jarred Huseby from Bonners Ferry, Idaho. His skill in singing, songwriting, and playing instruments completed this team. He and their daughter Rachael married in July 2009 and gave Greg and Glenda their third grandchild, Arabella, in December 2011. They have multiplied into three distinct ministries. The Newtons are Worship Pastors in Texas, the Husebys are Music Pastors in Utah and Greg, Glenda, and Anna are Worship & Media Pastors in Louisiana.

Each of the Bostocks has had the blessing of working with Dave Roever’s, “Mission Vietnam” and traveling to the country of Vietnam to do missions work with an incredible anointed team of people. Greg, Glenda and Anna continue to be involved in the Vietnam ministry, traveling there each year and now partnering with Mission Vietnam to help raise funds for building churches in that country. Several of Greg’s songs were birthed during these times and have been used nationally and internationally.

Under the name of Blastoff Music Ministries Inc., their 501(c)(3) non-profit ministry, “Heart & Soul” ministers through concerts, video/audio workshops, personal testimony, and a multi-media presentation. “Heart & Soul” has been called to make an impact in a dying world, to be streams in the desert and bring hope to the hopeless. Their commission is Isaiah 40:3-6: A voice of one calling: “In the desert prepare the way for the Lord; make straight in the wilderness a highway for our God.”
