Grammy-nominated Henta is a singer, songwriter, sonic nurturer, and producer, originally from the UK, now living in Roslyn, WA.
She writes immersive music, taking you on a kaleidoscopic journey melding the ambient and acoustic with her sensual vocals.
Henta has been in a number of bands and she has collaborated with DJs and producers on projects in
varying styles of music since the 90s. She has composed and released library music for Northstar Music and Stock
International and her music is also played on a variety of podcasts.
Music is her true passion and vocation, so much so that in November 2006 she made a life-changing decision to sell her home
in the UK, leaving family and friends in order to move to Seattle and pursue her musical journey. Whilst living in Seattle she
released 2 albums and an EP as well as collaborating with a number of musicians, producers and DJs. She performed live in
a variety of Seattle venues, sometimes in surround sound. She was also one of the founding members of the Electronic Music
Collective which organized musical and educational events. She became a member of the Recording Academy in
2008 which opened up a wealth of new musical opportunities and led to her Grammy Nomination.
In 2012 she completed her fifth release ‘Butterfly Song’ which is a hybrid of electronic, pop and folk music and highlights her
musical evolution over the past 20 years. This follows her last album release Laserium for the Soul which was nominated for
a Grammy in 2009.
Henta has performed solo for the past year and enjoys collaborating with other artists on musical projects. both on-line
and in person. As well as performing live and songwriting, Henta aims to license her music to films, TV series and documentaries.
