Herbert the Entertainer (Herbert Maassen) is an Canadian composer and song writer.
Herbert was born in Germany.
His Akkordeon teacher came faithfully for 5 years once a week.
As a teenager Herbert performed every week-end in various bands,Duos,Trios,Show-Bands and Marching Bands... and of course also as a One-Man-Band.
Between 1980 and 1983 Herbert conducted "Erftland Akkordeon Gruppe" with 44 Children.
Traveling through Europe and performing with a great variety of bands shaped his style.
In 1983 Herbert emmigrated with his family to Alberta/Canada.
With a soothing and warm voice his music style can be classified as relaxing...refreshing and encouraging.
By using modern keyboards, Herbert offers a wide variety of sound and rythmn.
Anybody that has a bit of that good old-fashioned taste of "Ballroom Music" will be thrilled to hear Herbert's songs.
