We started jamming together when we were both in a punk band, the guitarist and drummer were both smokers so when they went out for a cigarette we'd have some time to play a few of our favourite songs. The band fell apart so we started getting together and playing acoustic sets of covers under different names for every gig, we eventually got some of our own songs down and went by the name of "The
Why Bird Stop" after the bus stop of "Playdays" fame. We now have upwards of 30 songs and have changed the name to "Honour Amongst Thieves" because..well..it sounds better! In February 2012 Paul Day and George Hirst joined on Bass and Drums respectively, this has brought our sound up to what we had invisaged while originally writing songs.
