Idle Mirth is a little band from Cincinnati. Charlene and David played music together before but none of their previous bands really captured a sound they wanted. Charlene was in Arizona when she started receiving 4-track cassettes of rough demos from David, so she began writing lyrics and singing on the tracks. Pretty soon they knew they had something they both believed was special so Charlene relocated to Cincinnati where she and David began writing and recording together more intensively. And that is more or less how Idle Mirth formed: tapes sent back and forth through the US Post Office. It wasn't long after when David's long-time friend Nitty heard the new music coming together in Idle Mirth's little studio. Nitty expressed his interest, they snatched him up as their bassist.
