Ignitor

Forged in 2003 by Stuart Laurence on lead guitar (Agony Column), Brendon Bigelow on bass (Death of Millions), Beverly Barrington on guitar (T.A.N.G.), Erika Swinnich on vocals (Autumn Tears), and Pat Doyle on drums (Offenders), who all wanted to start a classic metal band to fill a musical void in their hometown of Austin, Texas. IGNITOR began turning heads in several countries after releasing a 6-song EP TAKE TO THE SKY to rave reviews in 2004, when Germany’s Rock Hard magazine named it "Demo of the Month." IGNITOR made their European debut at the Keep it True Festival in Germany in November 2005, where they stunned the crowd and were named "Best KIT Newcomer" by Mario’s Metal Mania magazine.

In 2006, Beverly left IGNITOR and was replaced by shredder Annah Moore. The band released the album ROAD OF BONES (Cruz del Sur) in September 2007 to more rave reviews. Sadly, that was on the eve of Erika’s leaving the band for personal reasons. Later that year, Annah left IGNITOR to move out of state.

Beverly re-joined IGNITOR soon after Annah departed. Then Jason McMaster (Watchtower, Dangerous Toys) joined the band on vocals in October 2008. After a few months getting the new line-up acquainted musically, IGNITOR began recording its 2nd full-length album, THE SPIDER QUEEN, which was released on Cruz Del Sur Music in 2010.

IGNITOR began recording its fourth album, THE YEAR OF THE METAL TIGER in 2010, which was released on MVD Audio in April 2012. Band members' schedules limited IGNITOR's show schedule in 2012, inspiring a series of sessions paying tribute to IGNITOR's favorite bands. These sessions produced eight head-crushing tunes: MIXTAPE '85 . The band had a great time making this record and can't wait for you and your friends to hear it.
