InZaneCountry is a band, but I hope it's a little more than that. My name is George Bolam. Essentially, I am InZaneCountry. I write the music, I perform it and record it; the concept of the band is that every sound you hear is made by me. InZaneCountry was born out of a need to change my life, to show that something worthwhile could be made out of the deepest despair. Nobody should give up striving for happiness, just because life gets a little difficult from time to time, but, a lot of people do, and I nearly did. But then, a friend told me, 'Nobody said life would always be easy', and it isn't. Hey, that's fair enough! I can't argue with that! So, here I am. What you see here, is what I did to deal with my problems. I started my InZaneCountry project. When I started, I made two rules for the project. I decided that everything creative, I had to do myself, with my own mental and emotional resources, and I had to do it with whatever I had, right then, right there.. a Guitar, a PC, a Head, a Heart, a little Creativity and a lot of Determination.
Since begining to deal with my problems, I've learned that many other people are experiencing similar issues, emotional problems of their own. They aren't weak or useless, or going mad, just ordinary people, people like me, who's lives have taken an unhappy turn.. people who think they are alone, people who think they are the only one's who feel as they do, and that something is wrong with them.. Well, here's the good news..There is nothing wrong with them, they are just very unhappy, for whatever reason. Now, unhappiness.. it really is, simply, a state of mind. What I discovered was that, if you do something to help others, you can also help yourself, and be happy again.. It worked for me! So, I want to show people how to do just that, and I'm going to do it through the InZaneCountry project, through creativity in music.. So, for those who feel they might benefit from the approach I took to solving my problems, I'm here to help, so feel free to get in touch.. I got well and became a happy, positive person again.. I could do it, so believe me, so can you..
