Isaac Muzikansky came to Ottawa, Canada from the former Soviet Union in 1980.
By profession he is an Electronics Engineer (now retired).
Isaac learned most of his Yiddish songs from his parents while he was growing up. Since then the Jewish music became his passionate hobby.
After coming to Canada, Isaac became involved in Ottawa Jewish Community life. He performed as a part of a group and as a soloist at many SJCC (Soloway Jewish Community Centre) functions. He has been and still is an active volunteer for Hillel Lodge, Jewish Family Services and many other organizations. Isaac is also a member of the local choir “Shiru Lach” and a guest singer with a local group “A Touch of Klez”. Isaac often performs with a local Klezmer group on Sunday afternoons at the Ottawa Bagel Shop.
His repertoire includes songs in Yiddish, Hebrew, Ladino, Russian and English. He accompanies himself on the guitar.
