JACKSON

Biography

Hip Hop artist, producer, and performer JACKSON was born and raised in the backwoods of Buckingham, Virginia. He developed a love for music at the early age of twelve. With his dad being a previous club owner and mom a dedicated church attendee, JACKSON feels he had the opportunity to learn and grab the best of both worlds. “I remember going to the club with my dad on Saturday, and then waking up to go to church with my mom on Sunday.” Being an active member in both, JACKSON became involved with the church, playing the drums and singing on the choir. In his other world, he was also learning to write Hip Hop and R&B lyrics, poems, and songs. At the age of 13, JACKSON began to disc jockey, hosting parties and events, as well as releasing his mixed-tapes within the community. After a few years of disc jockeying, JACKSON decided it was time to display and show his own personal skills, by trading in his disc jockey equipment for studio equipment. Now what you have is a hip hop sound that is so soulful and meaningful, that it relates to all people of all ages. From the backyard cookout, to the club, and to the church, JACKSON has a sound like no other. JACKSON has an album, “Jackson aka Freddy Krueger” and a mixed-tape “Jackson, VA Guy”, both released in 2009, currently in rotation. His latest release, “Music Money Love Hustle” is a book of music about life, inspiration, fun, and resilience.
