Jim O’Halloran, Flute
Jim has performed internationally with various groups for years. He is currently playing with his own groups, the Jim O’Halloran trio through sextet and also Charanga Danzon, a group specializing in Cuban charanga, jazz, and classical music. He was the leader and composer for afro-cuban jazz bands Chela and Freezerburn. In addition, Jim has played with Michael Nicollela, Orquestra Zaribanda, Mambo Cadillac, Yerbabuena, Expresión Latina, Global Village, Orquesta Ilusion, Latin Dimension, the Deano’s House Band, and Bochinche. He considers Seattle, Washington home base. Besides playing and writing music, Jim loves reading, bicycle riding, family time, electrophysiology, and playing frisbee with Larry, the best dog in the world!
