Jadi Norris

Biography

Jadi Norris was born in Gastonia, North Carolina, a small textile town and learned to play guitar from his father, Sonny, and his Grandmother. Jadi began performing at age 5 on a local gospel radio show on WGAS. At age 13, Jadi recorded his first release, a country cover of “Rockin’ Robin” that received airplay on over 100 stations in the Southeast.
At age 16, Jadi completed high school, forgoing several college scholarships to pursue music full-time.
Soon he and his band became regional favorites in the southeast, traveling all over North and South Carolina, Georgia, and Florida. Jadi worked 50 weeks a year at top nightclubs, including a stint at Disney’s Pleasure Island.

During this time, Jadi began to develop his songwriting skills. After recording a demo of his own tunes in the nineties, Jadi caught the ear of an RCA records A&R rep who opened the door for him to move to Nashville. Alas, that deal fell through and Jadi returned to the road. He ended up in Tucson, Arizona and began opening for major acts including Toby Keith, Clay Walker, Diamond Rio, Lonestar, and Keith Urban.
Jadi recorded his latest CD, MAKE HAY, at Chaton Studios in Phoenix, Arizona in the spring of 2010. MAKE HAY has received FOUR STARS by several major music publications-see www.jadinorris.com for details) This CD is made up of 13 songs-eleven of which were penned by Jadi himself. MAKE HAY has spawned to Music Row chart singles-“Home Is Where the Heart Is” and “Workin’ Man’s Saturday Night” that also reached the top ten on the New Music Weekly Country Charts. Jadi currently works at casinos and venues throughout the southwest. Check out Jadi Norris’ critically acclaimed MAKE HAY on iTunes, CDBaby, Amazon, Zune, and more.
